Men fight and lose the battle, and the thing that they fought for comes about in spite of their defeat, and when it comes turns out not to be what they meant, and other men have to fight for what they meant under another name. (William Morris - A Dream of John Ball)

Support Vestas occupation

The decision by workers at the anti-union Vestas wind turbine plant on the Isle of Wight to go into occupation in order to resist the closure of their workplace and to call for the nationalisation of the plant is another important indication that working people can and will come up with alternatives to being made to pay for the current crisis.

Few things better demonstrate the inability of capitalism to provide either stable employment or an appropriate response to climate change than the decision to close a factory producing wind turbines!

Show your support by signing the petition to the Prime Minister and by posting a message of support on the Vestas blog.
