Men fight and lose the battle, and the thing that they fought for comes about in spite of their defeat, and when it comes turns out not to be what they meant, and other men have to fight for what they meant under another name. (William Morris - A Dream of John Ball)

Pensions debate starts Congress

The Conference Centre is filling up for the first morning of the TUC – we are set to debate pensions. Thanks to a UNISON amendment the Composite motion on Pensions (Composite 6) calls on the General Council to back the unions fighting to defend the Local Government Pension Scheme.

UNISON activists need to consider how we take that fight forward so that we take action to give the General Council something to support!
